Apple Blueberry Butter is a classic German style apple butter with a delightfully sweet and natural flavor of blueberry and apple. We harvest the blueberries just before peak ripeness. This process allows us to get good color and high acids for a deep blueberry flavor. We add a small amount of natural sugar to adjust the acidity and sweetness. A great addition to bagels with or without cream cheese, or create your own egg and cheese blintz. We must warn you to avoid combining our Apple Blueberry Butter with vanilla ice cream - it can be habit-forming!
Serving Suggestions: top the cream cheese on a bagel; deglaze venison or pork roast pan; mix generous amount with favorite nonfat yogurt – healthy pound cake topping; with Chevre on a cracker – wow!; lightly buttered whole wheat bread generously topped with Granny Smith apples and an extra large dollop of LPCABB.

Apple Pie In A Jar has been called the ultimate jelly for a PB&J sandwich. The perfect accompaniment for classic American cuisine, with only fresh spices added to our multi-varietal apple blend during the cooking process. Delicious as a topping for almost any baking, it is a winner on toast in the morning or ice cream at night. The apple chunks in this selection define it as a "preserve" - not a butter nor a jelly - with pieces of fruit in the mixture. Tom's Granny's famous recipe is the inspiration for this selection. Tom and his brother yielded to temptation one time too many for Granny's patience. After finding the umpteenth empty pie shell (prior to dinner, of course!) on the kitchen counter, she refused to make another pastry shell. Oh well . . .
Serving Suggestions: on ice cream; fill between the layers in a cake before frosting the outside; as a hot sauce over roast pork; the ultimate peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Ingredients: Apples, Sugar, Spices; click for nutritional information |

Apple Grilling Glaze is not too sweet nor too vinegarized. It is perfect as a plate dressing in a simply prepared dinner, such as a covering for sauteed chicken breast. Our youngsters top their chicken nuggets with Grilling Glaze. We like to mix breadcrumbs and whole cranberries for a stuffing or to paint a fresh ham before baking. It makes baby back ribs delicious and is superb on a pork sandwich. Try with any cut of pork, poultry, lamb, venison, or add to duckling or salmon for great flavoring. We recommend adding to meat on the grill during the last few minutes (almost no fat content in our Glaze - you don't want scorching), or paint on a casserole creation at the beginning of baking.
Serving Suggestions: great bread spread for a meat sandwich; terrific dipping sauce for chicken nuggets; instant gourmet plate dressing for elegant chicken breast entree; baste any selection of pork or poultry on the grill or in the oven.
Ingredients: Fresh Cooked Apples, Sugar, Apple Cider Vinegar, Tomato Paste, Onions, Herbs, Spices; click for nutritional information |
Hot Apple Jalapeno Spread is the quintessential pepper jelly, not too hot and not too sweet. You can actually taste the fruitiness of the Jalapeño Chile. We like to top a cracker with cream cheese and our spread. An especially appealing light dinner is an omelet with a dollop of cream cheese, sliced ham and a tablespoon of Hot Apple Jalapeno Spread. Great as a glaze for cocktail meatballs made with your choice of ground meat, or a topping for a wedge of Brie. (Check our recipe pate.) Our nephews alerted us to the affinity of Peanut Butter and HAJS!
Serving Suggestions: with cream cheese on crackers; a teaspoon of spread on a tablespoon of cream cheese rolled up in a crescent roll and baked; cover a small wheel of Brie with spread before sealing pastry when preparing Brie en Croûte; add to the pan when sautéing chicken or shrimp; add some pizzazz to your PB&J; the newest suggestion came from a fan at a crafts show - over chocolate ice cream - a dessert mole!
Ingredients: Apple Cider, Sugar, Pectin, Jalapeno, Red and Green Peppers, Lemon Juice; nutritional information |
